Mosquito Repellant

Thanks to GT moms, I recently discovered that prolong use of Off lotion can cause much danger to the kid. Being a mom, one of my primary concern is how to keep mosquito on bay. Dengue is rampant nowadays and as they say prevention is better than cure, I would certainly exhaust all means just to provide Tifa and Trife the best protection feasible.

Off lotion contains Deet which is a chemical when combined with other chemicals or medications, can have a toxic effects to the brain and body. With prolong use of products containing Deet, humans may experience fatigue, memory loss, weakness, headache, muscle and joint pain. This is totally alarming!

I discovered that through the use of Eucalyptus Oil, mosquito bite can be prevented. As soon as I learn about this oil, I rushed to South Star Drug and brought one for testing. What I do is to dub a cotton balls with a little amount of oil. I then put it on the A/C's vent. The room suddenly was filled with its relaxing smell. And alas, I haven't seen mosquito within the room. Another mom advice me to just put it on a candle burner, the idea was nice but since Tifa tends to be amazed with anything, I find it dangerous to lit a candle in our room.

its as if ive lost someone really specially..she had been with us for only three months but hell i miss her like crazy!

Shadow is gone!

February 8, 2008; 2pm-our vet texted me
"Sad to inform you that your pet died from
bloody diarrhea and vomiting"

I miss her terribly! Before, I used to be so afraid of animals, I never even imagined that I could afford to have one in the future. But ever since hubby gave shadow as a birthday present for tifa, I grew fond of her. I would usually find myself researching information on the net of what to expect with her month by month survival.

She's gone and I have to deal with this painful truth. I could not even afford to go to the clinic and get her.I cant..I refuse to see her lifeless body. I feel so much regret.

I remember when we're heading to the clinic, shadow keep on licking my hands. I just cant believe it would be the very last time that I could share sweet moments with her. While I try to write this blog, my tears just wont stop pouring its as if ive lost someone really special. Yes, she had been with us for only three months but I learn to love her like what a mom would do to her kids.

missing Shadow

Last Tuesday, my dad noticed that Shadow is not feeling that good. She refuses to take her meal though she was as jolly as usual. Wednesday came, we saw a blood-like liquid in her stool so we immediately brought him to the nearest Vet clinic.

She was diagnosed with Parvovirus which is an extremely tough bug. Since dehydration is one of the risk, a dextrose was administered intravenously upon her arrival.

Yesterday was her second day at the clinic. I was missing her a lot so I decided to gave her a visit. When I arrived, I saw her lying on her cage, feeling really weak. I feel so sad, I was never been an animal lover before but when she came, I started to be fond of her. I hope she'll get well soon, no more red diarrhea and vomiting!

i was banned!

too bad, my first writing would be all about my rants. you see, i was banned from joining a forum by the way, i had been a member of it for about 2 years. my offenses: chatty posts and advertising. i was just looking for a seller and they call it advertising? stupid. i just hate it!
